Elsa
Introducing Elsa! This spunky 3-year-old pit mix is spayed,heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations, on prevention, and microchipped. Rescued from a fighting ring in Indianapolis, she may have lost an eye, but that hasn't dimmed her spirit! Elsa is currently thriving in a foster home with 10 dogs, and is a social butterfly who loves to play, enjoy treats, and, most importantly, steal your heart! While she was returned after being a little too playful with a young child, she would shine with older kids. Don’t miss out on this incredible pup!

Hi, I’m Pitty Pablo, and I’m around 3 to 5 years old. I faced a tough time outside during a severe snowstorm, living on a porch without comfort or love, while I watched other dogs find their forever homes. I’m fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and on flea and tick prevention! All I desire is a warm, loving to call my own. I enjoy playing tag, but good luck trying to catch me!

Introducing Cyrus, a charming 3-4 year old pup eager to capture your heart! This lovable fellow has skin allergies and does best with a special salmon diet. Once found roaming the streets unclaimed, he’s now on the lookout for his forever home! Although he experiences a bit of separation anxiety, he adores being with his humans! Cyrus would thrive as the only dog in the household, but he’s friendly with cats and kids too! This stunning pit, dalmatian, and beagle mix was rescued just in time, right before a storm tried to sweep her away from an abandoned house. At just 3-4 years old Rain is bursting with love and energy, and while she does experience a bit of separation anxiety, and does resource guard food and toys, she is a sweet and loving girl. She's heartworm negative, spayed chipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations and prevention, plus she's crate trained! Rain is ready to bring joy to your life—she loves everyone she meets, both people and furry friends alike!

Introducing Roxie a sweet 6 year old pup ready to find her forever family! This lovable girl has been waiting for 3 years in a kennel, being overlooked time and time again. Due to being in rescue for so long Roxie is a bit nervous and would be better for a home with no kids and no other animals. She's spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped, all set to become part of your family!

Astrid
Introducing Astrid! This delightful girl is a true social butterfly She gets along fabulously with kids and other dogs, and she absolutely adores snuggles and treats. Right now, she's in foster care, where she's mastering her manners and making great strides in crate and potty training.
Lola
Lola is generally in good health, and her skin will improve over time now that the fleas are gone. Estimated to be around 9 years old, she very sweet and friendly. She has received her vaccinations, is freshly spayed, on prevention, chipped and heartworm negative! Currently, she is in foster care, where she is working on her manners, as well as crate and potty training.
Rose
Meet Rose! This amazing pup excels at leash walking and is a pro on a lead! She can jump 4-foot chain fences like a champion and is incredibly friendly with both dogs and kids, although she does have a playful, energetic side Unfortunately, she doesn't get along with cats. At just a year and a half old, she's fully vetted, potty trained, and crate trained, ready to find her forever home!
Lieutenant Dan
​Meet the incredible Lt. Dan, one of our beloved rescue stars here at Happy Tails! This brave 1-2 year old pup is a true inspiration, having overcome the challenges of a gunshot wound to his spine in Kentucky! Dan is a special needs dog who wears diapers and needs his bladder expressed due to losing function of his bladder and bowel movements. While he may be paralyzed and require some extra care, he scoots like a champ, loves being around other animals and kids, and is ready to find an experienced owner who can shower him with love. Plus, he’s heartworm negative, up to date on all his vaccinations, chipped, and simply can't be neutered due to his mobility needs.

Lindy
Introducing Lindy! She is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccinations. While she has interacted with cats, their relationship is still developing, so a meet and greet is important. Lindy can be shy around new people, so she'll need time to adjust. She enjoys snuggling close to her person and is currently working on potty and crate training, she does experience some separation anxiety.
Frizz
Meet Frizz! Found in a basement with Lenny living in crates in their own feces and urine. Estimated 3-5 years old. Has a paw without toes but it doesn’t slow him down! Great with Kids 7 years and older, (toddlers make him nervous) and all adults! Terrier mix. Fixed, up to date on shots, on prevention and chipped!
Shelly
Meet Shelly! She's eager to be by your side and is ready to become part of your family! Fully house trained and improving with crate training, she's great with older and gets along with other dogs—though she can be a bit selective at times. With all her vetting complete, she's spayed, heartworm negetive and ready to find her forever home!
Raven
Meet Raven, a delightful 3 to 4-year-old pup who's ready to steal your heart! She's all up-to-date on her vaccines and while she tested positive for Lyme disease, we're proactively treating her—no signs of illness here! This sweet girl is not only dog-friendly but also a charming smaller shepherd mix. Plus, she’s scheduled to be spayed in mid-September. Lenny
Meet Lenny, the lovable goofball currently in foster with Raven! This charming Shepherd mix is around 2 to 3 years old and is making strides in potty training. While he's building his confidence around other dogs and people, he can't resist tasty treats—just a little resource guarding to work on! Plus, he's up to date on vaccines, heartworm and Lyme negative, with his neuter scheduled for mid-September. Lenny is almost ready to find his forever home!

Get ready to meet the amazing Rosemary! This delightful 4-year-old shepherd mix is full of energy and charm. After having a litter this winter, she's now on a special kidney diet.
