Meet Cyrus! 🐾💙
Cyrus is a handsome 3–4-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a smile that’s impossible to resist! Found roaming the streets alone, he’s now ready to find the forever home he deserves.
He’s neutered, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Cyrus has some skin allergies and does best on a salmon-based diet to keep him feeling his best.
He’s great with cats and kids, but would thrive as the only dog in the home. Cyrus loves being with his people and may get a little anxious when left alone, but his loyalty and affection make him an incredible companion.

Meet Lt. Dan!
one of our beloved rescue stars here at Happy Tails! This brave 2 year old pup is a true inspiration, having overcome the challenges of a gunshot wound to his spine in Kentucky! Dan is a special needs dog who wears diapers and needs his bladder expressed due to losing function of his bladder and bowel movements, and both back legs. While he may be a double amputee and require some extra care, he scoots like a champ, loves being around other animals and kids, and is ready to find an experienced owner who can shower him with love. Plus, he’s heartworm negative, up to date on all his vaccinations, chipped, and neutered!

Tiger Lilly
Meet Tiger Lilly
Tiger Lilly has officially busted out of kennel life and into a cozy foster home! This sweet girl spent her past living outside on a heavy chain, freezing and forgotten but those days are behind her. She was vaccinated yesterday and has just started her heat cycle, so we’ll be scheduling her spay in about 3 weeks, after which she’ll be ready for adoption.
Tiger Lilly is estimated to be 2–3 years old, does great with pottying outside, and has the most loving, gentle spirit. She’s going to make someone an amazing dog, and we can’t wait to see her find the happy ending she deserves.
Atlas
Meet Atlas 🐾
Atlas is a 6–7-year-old, 41-pound sweetheart who’s been through a lot but is finally getting the care he deserves. When he was found, he was severely underweight — but with love and good food, he’s gaining steadily and should be around 60 pounds once healthy.
Atlas also battled heartworms, and won! He is scheduled to be neutered in February, and will then be officially ready for adoption!
Despite everything, Atlas remains gentle, brave, and trusting. ❤️ His recovery will take time and care, but he’s worth every bit of it.

Nelly
Meet Nelly!
Nelly is now fully vetted and recovering beautifully from her surgery! This sweet girl came from a hoarding case and hadn’t been outside in over a year, but she’s making amazing progress every day.
She loves zooming around the barn, playing with her furry friends, and greeting every dog she meets with a friendly tail wag. Nelly is gentle, loving, and curious — she just needs a patient adopter who will give her time to settle and feel safe.
With love and understanding, Nelly will blossom into the loyal best friend she’s meant to be. 🐾
Lenny
Meet Lenny! 🐾💛
Lenny is a lovable 2–3-year-old neutered Shepherd mix and a total goofball! He’s making great progress with potty training and gaining confidence around other dogs and people. He can be a little protective over treats, but with patience, he’ll continue to shine.
Lenny is microchipped, heartworm and Lyme negative, and up to date on vaccinations. This sweet boy is almost ready to find his forever home and bring endless love and laughter to his family!

Leonardo is a handsome collie mix with a sweet soul and a heart full of love. He’s affectionate, gentle, and enjoys spending time with his people just as much as he enjoys quiet moments to relax. Leonardo does have some skin issues, which are currently being managed, and he’s been such a good boy through it all. He's fully vetted and neutered as well as chipped. With proper care and consistency, he continues to do well and stays comfortable. Leonardo is looking for a patient, loving home that understands that a little extra care comes with a whole lot of love in return.

Arlo

Arlo is a 2-year-old, survivor from a hoarding situation who has come an incredible Arlo was fearful during his vet visit, so future vet trips will require a muzzle.
Arlo is potty trained, loves pajamas, people, and treats, and bonds deeply with those he trusts. He has defensive barking and needs slow introductions to people and animals. He must be fed separately from other pets and may need his own space when guests are over.
Arlo is available as a foster-to-adopt home only, with rescue follow-up for his neuter and skin care. He needs an experienced, patient, long-term home willing to work with him. For the right family, Arlo will be an incredibly loyal companion.

Dina is a beautiful Collie mix estimated to be around two to three years old. She has a wonderfully friendly personality and loves meeting new people. Dina does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around, though we’re still unsure how she feels
about cats. She is vaccinated, heartworm negative, and scheduled to be spayed in April. Dina is a sweet, social girl who would love a home where she can be part of the family and share her affectionate nature. With her gentle temperament and friendly spirit, she’s sure to make a wonderful companion for the right home.

This joyful and spirited pup is full of life! She adores affection, enjoys treats, and is always excited for a game of fetch or a snuggly moment by your side. Harriet is friendly with dogs and has been wonderful with kids, though her feelings about cats are still a mystery! At almost 1 year old and 30 lbs, she’s crate and potty trained, spayed, and up to on her vaccinations. Plus, she’s heartworm negative and on preventatives. Harriet is fully vetted and ready to find her forever family!

Meet Maize!
Maize is a beautiful, timid soul learning what it means to trust humans. She and her friends were found on an abandoned property after surviving as feral dogs. With no real owner, Maize had little human interaction until rescue. Now, with gentle guidance, she’s slowly learning about kindness and safety. Maize isn’t ready for adoption just yet, but as she grows more confident, she’ll be seeking a patient, loving home ready to show her what family feels like.

Skye was the first to be rescued from the abandoned property where she and her friends survived. She came to us scared, having had little human interaction, but she’s beginning to show her personality. We’re helping her build trust—hand-feeding and gentle training—and she’s already allowing pets. Though still timid and with a long journey ahead, Skye is making progress every day. In time, she’ll be ready for a home that appreciates her brave heart.

Kori’s journey began in an abandoned yard, surviving alongside her friends with minimal human contact. After rescue, she’s slowly learning that people can be gentle and caring. Timid but resilient, Kori is taking steps toward trust every day. She’s not quite ready for adoption yet, but when she is, she’ll need a patient home willing to show her the world isn’t so scary.

She’s a female poodle mix who was found in West Terre Haute. Sunday arrived pregnant and has since had 10 puppies. She’ll be vetted soon and will be ready to find a loving forever home.

Cosmo was spotted for several weeks before finally being brought to safety. He is now safe in foster.
